Underpinning our approach is a commitment to and sustaining productive and lasting relationships. This is at the heart of our ethos, and we are very proud and excited by the communities we have developed: community of occupational therapists (OTs), community of occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), and our inspired and inspiring community of clients.

My vision has been to create a unique OT assessment and rehabilitation service: one that offers excellent client centred and goal focussed OT within a nurturing environment that is also a wonderful learning place for the OTs of the future and a safe and inspiring place for clients to meet and share. My career as an OT began in the NHS and I have gained a wealth of clinical experience over the last 30 years. This thorough grounding has energised and challenged me to extend my professional and academic expertise, and to establish a truly special OT company - Rehabilitate Therapy.
Dr Kate Heward (Clinical Director)
Kate and I complement each other’s skills and expertise, my business background and her clinical expertise combine to drive Rehabilitate Therapy forward and keep it aligned with our vision and values. Very early in my career I worked in general management roles in varied venues across cinema, theme parks, and health and leisure organisations. Having completed my MBA, I was enticed by academia, lecturing across the world to undergraduate and postgraduate students, latterly publishing and gaining my PhD. Now, as co-owner and Managing Director of Rehabilitate Therapy I am influenced by all the diverse experiences; good and particularly those not so good. I am determined to make Rehabilitate Therapy a business to be proud of; transformational clinical outcomes for our clients, exceptional service to our referrers, but also a great business to work with for our talented community of OTs and OTAs.
Dr Phil Crowther (Managing Director)
As Rehabilitate Therapy's Operations Director and Occupational Therapist, I bring a broad perspective shaped by clinical experience and a passion for building services that truly work for people. This dual role allows me to work closely with Kate and Phil to develop proactive, flexible, and responsive operations that enable high-quality, client-centred service delivery. Central to this is creating an environment where clients, occupational therapists and referring parties all feel supported and valued, because strong teams and partnerships are what consistently deliver the best outcomes. With that in mind, quality underpins everything we do, from first contact through to intervention, ensuring every interaction is meaningful and effective. It is this combination of strong operational foundations and a genuine focus on positive outcomes that makes me so proud to be part of the Rehabilitate Therapy team.

Our Community of Occupational Therapists
Rehabilitate Therapy is a vibrant community of progressive, passionate, and like-minded OTs and OTAs who have the expertise and confidence necessary to achieve optimum client-centred rehabilitation and outcomes. They have been handpicked for their occupational therapy experience and credentials and, very importantly, because they share the ideals, ethics and behaviours of Rehabilitate Therapy. Our OTs and OTAs are fully supported at all times by our Business Team.

Who we work with
Our OTs and OTAs work with clients of all ages who have experienced life changing injuries. We are known as specialists in catastrophic injury, encompassing brain injury, orthopaedic injuries and polytrauma. However, the breadth of experience and expertise is right across the scope of occupational therapy – incorporating all aspects and interventions. Therefore, in addition to, or complementing, the more complex client referrals, we also have specialist and specific services in housing, adaptations and equipment, posture and wheelchair, hands / scar, and pain.
