OT Opportunities

Rehabilitate Therapy is a family-owned, and independent, occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation service. We are always keen to talk to occupational therapists who share our passion for being a ‘real OT’ - extremely client centred and goal focussed. We are a committed and diverse community of OTs (with OTAs) and have a great team ethos and atmosphere. Our OTs are both autonomous and empowered but also supported and developed.

‘It’s such a welcoming environment and I feel really encouraged by listening to other people’s practice. It inspires me..’

We empathise with and understand both the attraction and apprehensions that OTs feel regarding independent OT – as this has been all of our journey also. To support this, we have produced Option Too to demystify independent OT and help you to have a clearer perspective.

Please watch the ‘Hello’ video from our Clinical Director Dr Kate Heward.

We are a community based occupational therapy service working with our clients in their homes, community, workplace, and indeed wherever the goals take us – fishing lakes, football grounds, and beyond.

Our business grew up in Yorkshire, and then across the North and Midlands, and now we are expanding beyond and into other corners of the UK .

Our service is extremely comprehensive, throughout the age ranges, covering neuro, orthopaedic, poly trauma, housing/adaptation, pain, and also hands/scar.

Typically, our client referrals come from solicitors and rehabilitation case managers within or post litigation / medico legal process. We are also always open to other referrer conversations.

We are an assessment and rehabilitation service (not expert witness) and as a Rehabilitate Therapy OT you would be working autonomously (but with considerable support and backup) in MDTs for each of your clients.

Our OTs often combine their Rehabilitate Therapy work with, for example, NHS, Statutory Services, case management, expert witness, rehabilitation provider (non OT), equipment supplier, locum work on a routine basis.

We are very focussed upon ensuring that the OTs who work with us are not just financially rewarded but they also really value (and even enjoy) the support, community, and learning/development. In this way we hope they always want to continue working with Rehabilitate Therapy.

Our proposition to OTs

>  We pay you above the market rate, within 12 days of month end, and irrespective of whether the funder has paid us.

>  We provide mentoring and supervision, but also more ad hoc and informal advice and support.

>  We facilitate critical friends to review reports and documentation so you, and us, are protected and can feel assured.

>  We take care of projected costs and the management / monitoring of these.

>  We provide many and varied learning opportunities, face to face, online sessions, and also through excellent online and easily accessible resources.

>  We provide opportunities for you to engage to learn more and more about independent practice and the medico legal context.

>  As an associate you are empowered and flexible regarding the cases you take and also your general working schedule.

>  You will have easy access to a community of over 70 OTs who interact and share experiences and advice.
